New Case Study: Crystal Key Tags

Purposes:

2-D or 3-D crystal key tags with Red, green or blue internal led light complete with upscale nickel plated key ring, light up a dark entryway. The stock shape is rectangular, and the imprint can be etched in the crystal, on the crystal, or both. This gift comes in a deluxe packaging, so it’s perfect for gift-giving, trade shows, and business gifts.

Market: Education

Objective: Shine a light on a very serious issue, and provide an affordable, but practical promotional product to be part of a gift bag conference attendees were receiving.

Strategy: A conference was planned on a state college campus by the state’s Human Trafficking Task Force in an effort to “shine a light” on human trafficking.” The cost to attend the conference was $125. After the event, each attendee of the conference received a gift bag full of contact information, souvenirs, and marketing collateral.  The symbolic, but practical crystal key tag was selected for the promotional bag, because it went the theme of “shining a light” on a serious issue.

Results:  In the conference, one speaker used the promotional item to start a social media campaign. All of the attendees were asked to pose with the crystal key tag and post a selfie on the taskforce’s Facebook page. Approximately 749 people posted on a selfie with the light on, to bring this very serious issue into the light. The Facebook page gained 204 additional likes, and several people inquired on how and where to get the key tag to help “shine a light on human trafficking in Michigan.”

Case Study: White Snowflake Die Cast Christmas Ornament

Objective: Increase brand loyalty, policy holder retention,  and show customers appreciation

Strategy:  A large insurance company sought rate increases of 33% stating the reason for the increase was new customers under the Affordable Care Act turned out to be sicker than expected. The new rate increases would be for the following year and would affect all policy holders. On average national insurance companies increased rates from 20-40%, so the rate increase was anticipated, but transitioning customers into the increase involved some finesse and branding. Part of the retention campaign was to send out personalized holiday ornaments for Tier one customers in an effort to show customer appreciation.

Results: The customers loved the holiday ornament campaign. Just over 87% of the people who received the rate increase stayed on as current customers through July of the following year. The brand’s name grew stronger and the company saw the effects of the campaign throughout the year.

Purposes: The economical polyester lanyard with two color expert silkscreened imprint is a versatile, high-quality promotional product; it’s perfect for mailers and to give away at company and social events. With over 13 standard attachments to choose from, the 36” lanyards have a wide variety of potential applications including: security and id purposes for internal employees as well as visitors, keys for any purpose, employee accomplishments or years-of-service, for prescription glasses or sunglasses, cameras, and outside survival gear. All of this wiith only a 2-3 week production time.

Market: Electronics

Objective: Create a presence at a popular camera trade show, and also generate interest in a new product that was released at the show. The promotional product needed to be bright to be noticed, and because so many were being handed out, it needed to be economical as well.

Strategy: The first 250 people to arrive at the camera company’s booth received a lanyard with a unique key at the end. The visitors had to keep the lanyard with the key until the very last day of the show; the show lasted 4 days. Then they had an opportunity to use the key attached to the lanyard to open a glass case. Inside the case, was a new release camera, along with photography kit and gear totaling over $5000. There was only one big winner, but all day long these bright lanyards were spotted on over 250 recipients. The final winner also gave the camera company an opportunity for a press release. Although this was a pricey giveaway, traffic spiked on the produce page on the website over 79.8%. The company was successful in generating quite a buzz about their new product revision. In addition, Twitter was full of product questions.
