When it comes to recognition programs, there is no better choice than a custom lapel pin. But if you’ve never worked with lapel pins (or even if you have), you might find your head spinning with confusing jargon like die struck, die cast and cloisonné. Fear not, here is a simple primer on basic lapel pin processes that will make you a lapel pin expert in 5 minutes.

Die Struck Lapel Pins

Die struck pins are created when a custom die strikes a base metal, forming a metal imprint with raised and recessed levels. Pins may be plated with gold, nickel or other finish options. Recessed areas can be filled with color enamel or textured to create dimension. Raised areas remain exposed and are polished to a shine.
