Objective: A creative way to promote a new menu item.
Strategy: An Arby’s franchise wanted to promote a new dessert item. Coupons had worked moderately well in the past, but they wanted something more creative to entice customers. They decided on a custom paper air freshener with cherry scent to mimic the flavor of the item being promoted. The results of the coupon were good, but it was the lingering cherry scent their customers associated with the cherry dessert item that kept customers coming back for seconds.
